Chief Ike Okoli

CHIEF IKE OKOLI was born in Lagos on 27th July 1957 and attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School, Surulere, Lagos, 1963 1966 and St. Michael’s Catholic Primary School Umudim Nnewi 1967 1971. He attended Maryland Comprehensive Catholic Secondary School, Ikeja Lagos 1972 1976.

 

He attended Yaba College of Technology 1976 -1983 where he obtained his Higher National Diploma in Accountancy and Finance. He also attended Enugu University of Science and Technology where he obtained a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Banking and Finance. In all his academic pursuit, he won laurels and passed with distinctions.

 

Today, CHIEF IKE OKOLI is a Chartered Accountant having qualified about 20 years ago and has been practicing as an Accountant (Auditor) and Management Consultant. He is a fellow of the Institute of Characte4red Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCIT). He is the Principal Partner of IKE OKOLI & CO. a firm of Chartered Accountants with offices in Lagos, Abuja and Nnewi.

 

He is also the Principal Consultant of Oceanic Nominees Limited, a firm of Management Consultants, Brokers and Secretaries. Mr. OKOLI is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers and Worked in First Bank of Nigeria Plc, 1976 1980.

 

CHIEF IKE OKOLI attended many management courses both here in Nigeria and abroad. He is a resource person to the following organizations.
1.The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
2.The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN)
3.The Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB)
4.The Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS)

 

He has delivered lectures at many for a and presently he is pursuing his Doctoral Studies and he is equally a part-time law student.

 

“MR. EDUCATION”: Because of his untiring pursuit and sponsorship of educational endeavours, CHIEF IKE OKOLI has been nick named “MR. EDUCATION”. He has single-handedly endowed a 5 million naira Scholarship Programmed for the indigenes of his village Umuezena Umudim Nnewi from his IKE OKOLI FOUNDATION setup in 1990 to sponsor educational scholarship, widowhood rights and cardiological studies. He has awarded scholarship to over 50 students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. CHIEF OKOLI is in love with education and believes that education is the only lasting legacy that can be bequeathed to present and future generation.

 

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: CHIEF IKE OKOLI believes that an educated mind is a liberated mind and must impact positively on his immediate environment hence his love for his immediate community Nnewi. He was the chairman of his village meeting in Lagos for ten (10) years Umuezena family meeting. He was the Auditor of Umudim Nnewi Development Association Lagos Branch, he instituted during his tenure a Scholarship Endowment and during the launching in 1999 over N10 million was raised and 2 sets of scholarship awardees have so far benefited.

 

CHIEF IKE OKOLI is presently the Chairman Nnewi Improvement Union Lagos Branch and within 3 months of ascending the chairmanship position, he instituted the 1st Nnewi Triennial lecture series and the launching of N150 million Education Foundation, which took place at the prestigious Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi on 15th of September, 2001. Close to N20 million has so far been raised in the foundation Account and the guest lecturer that day was professor Anya and the vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar (GCON) was the chief guest of honour.

 

CHIEF IKE OKOLI is married to MRS. IFEYINWA OKOLI a Senior Immigration Officer presently working at Lagos Passport office, Ikeja. They are blessed with 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls). CHIEF IKE OKOLI also has business interest in the following companies.

(c) OCEANIC GROUP LIMITED

He loves football and lawn tennis. His hobbies include international Affairs and Reading, Boardroom and Corporate Governance. He loves Jazz and Classical Music
